What kind of people go to Hedonism?
All types — doctors and lawyers, musicians and artists, secretaries and truck drivers, moms and retirees. Guests are mostly white with 10 percent or so other races. The staff is primarily Black Jamaican. Most guests hail from the United States.

Although I have been to Nudist places before, this was my 1st time visiting
an Hedonist resort. Actually, the 1st time going to Jamaica ever.
My vacation was booked through the Sandals travel agency. I lodged at the
Grand Pineapple hotel (formally Negril Gardens). This is a 2.5 star resort.

EDO II was definitely not what I expected. This does NOT seem to be the place for the younger, single person looking to meet other single people. At least, not when we went. But, most of the staff did say that we arrived just in time for “dead season”. So, I have hope for the future. There were a lot of older people on the resort. Saw some things I wish I didn’t see and didn’t see a lot of things I wanted to see. But, that’s the beauty of this place. No one cares and/or discriminates here.
I have to say the Hedonism II in Negril jamaica is one of my favorite spots, I love the Carribbean it is so beautiful and everyone seems so laid back and carefree. I love the fact that you can really let your hair down at the Heddo and truly “freely” enjoy doing things that you would never dream of doing in your own city, at least in my city… Things and life in general seem so simple, the beauty, the nature, the culture, it’s breath taking. Life, the world seems to be moving so fast, I think we all need to be able to slow things down and remember the little things that truly make us happy, to be able to express yourself without judgement from others and just plain relax.
My husband and I have been 10 trips to Hedo II, that should tell you something. A few weeks of the year this is as wild as anyplace gets. Those weeks are the ones the swingers go. 2nd week of Oct. all of Jan. 1 week in Mar. 4th of july week. Your pretty much free to do ANYTHING you want. Sex on the beach, fine if you don’t mind people watching.
The rest of the year it’s very laid back. You can do as much or as little as you like within reason.
Just returned from our first trip to Hedo3 and would like to share our experiences at the resort. After last years trip to Desire Cancun which was less than stellar we were very apprehensive in doing another resort vaca, but it’s Hedo and this was a short (5 nights) trip for the Halloween holiday.

The basic idea behind hedonistic thought is that pleasure is the only thing that is good for a person. This is often used as a justification for evaluating actions in terms of how much pleasure and how little pain (i.e. suffering) they produce. In very simple terms, a hedonist strives to maximize this net pleasure (pleasure minus pain).
